Acne Cure
Acne cures come in all shapes and sizes. There are prescription medications which include oral acne pills, cream, and gels, at home acne treatments which range from facial masks to topical treatments, and over-the-counter treatments designed to cure or regulate acne.
Oral medications include: Ortho Tri-Cyclen, and Accutane which are both taken internally and produce similar results but with different approaches. Ortho Tri-Cyclen can be taken only by women and is designed to balance hormone levels and reduce the risk of bacteria growth. It is more commonly used as birth control. Accutane is a much more direct treatment which can alter the effects of acne scarring. Accutane should only be taken under the direct supervision of a dermatologist and should never be taken while pregnant (can cause serious birth defects).
The most common type of acne cure are over-the-counter medications. Any product with Benzoyl Peroxide is generally accepted as the best acne treatment. Salicylic Acid is also good at fighting acne as well as preventing future outbreaks.
